2025 Club Competition Schedule
The Cape Town District Gymnastics Championships refer to the Cape Town District Trials, which serve as a qualifying event for gymnasts from the Cape Town District to advance to the Western Cape Championships, and subsequently, potentially the South African National Gymnastics Games.
The Western Cape Gymnastics Championships is a provincial competition organized by the Western Cape Gymnastics Association (WCGA) where gymnasts from the province compete in various disciplines across different age groups and skill levels. It serves as a pathway for gymnasts to qualify for higher-level competitions, including the Gymnastics South Africa National Championships (now called Gym Games), and to earn their Western Cape provincial colours.
Gymnastics South Africa’s National Championships, previously known as Gym Games, is set to return in October 2025 with a new format. Over 3 000 gymnasts in all disciplines and all age groups will be in action across four different venues in the country between 2 and 12 October.
The SA Schools Gymnastics Championships is an event under the broader National School Sport Championships, which aims to identify talent, foster social cohesion, and provide opportunities for learners from disadvantaged areas to participate in sports. The gymnastics portion of the championships is organized by Gymnastics South Africa and includes various disciplines such as artistic, acrobatic, aerobic, parkour, rope skipping, and Gymnastics For All
